Athena: The wise. With an owl always sitting on her shoulder, she stood out for her intelligence and her ability in solving problems.
ATHENA was the Goddess of wisdom, handicrafts, strategy and war. She was the daughter of Metis, goddess of counsel, and Zeus. She was born by coming out of Zeus’ forehead, fully grown and armed, and she became his favourite child. She was the virgin patroness of town Athens, so, in her honor, the Athenians built the Parthenon on the Acropolis of her namesake city. Athena was the helper of many heroes like Perseus, Heracles and Ulysses. She is depicted as a beautiful woman wearing a long robe, armed, with a helm, a shield and a spear.
